On April 27, Mohammad A. Abunayyan, Chairman of ACWA Power, led a delegation to visit the Beijing headquarters of CGGC International. Lyu Zexiang, General Manager of CGGC International and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, warmly received the delegation. The parties had in-depth communication on strengthening the cooperation in such fields as power and seawater desalination.
During the meeting, Lyu Zexiang highlighted CGGC’s rich achievements in the fields of renewable energy investment and EPC construction, as well as the strong integration capability of the International Investment Alliance for Renewable Energy initiated by CGGC International. He noted that, as the global renewable energy industry rapidly develops, the alliance can provide global customers with the full life cycle services for the investment, construction and operation of overseas renewable projects. At present, the alliance is proactively expanding in-depth cooperation in Bahrain, UAE, Greece, and other countries and regions. The successful signing of 50MW Photo-thermal Project in Greece this year represents one of the milestones that the alliance has successfully put its overseas projects in place. CGGC is willing to further expand the practical cooperation with ACWA Power in such fields as photovoltaic, photo-thermal and seawater desalination for win-win results.
The Chairman noted that ACWA Power has always attached great importance to its cooperation with CGGC, and highly praised CGGC’s strong ability in resource integration. As he noted, the parties have established deep friendship through cooperation in projects in Vietnam, Bahrain and other countries. He hoped to deepen the practical cooperation with CGGC in global gas power plant, photovoltaic, wind power, CSP, energy storage, seawater desalination and other projects in accordance with the principle of achieving shared growth through discussion and collaboration under the context of the “Belt and Road” to further facilitate the cooperation.
